It was a wonderful Summer filled with walks in the early morning, trips to new places and of course activities with family. Please watch a short video of our Summer 2016

This last weekend, August 26th, Marium and I decided at the spur of the moment to go camping. Not knowing if we could get a campsite in the Park we loaded up enough equipment and food for several days and headed to Zion National Park. Many of you have had similar experiences where spur of the moment ideas become memories that last a lifetime. A cancelation provided us with a great campsite, the evening weather was perfect, the mountains inspiring, the night warm, at least until the rain. Marium, not able to sleep moved to the car so not to bother my sleep, thinking she would return shortly and fall asleep. Nature, thunder and rain, had a different idea. Watch the video to understand why this became an awesome weekend together, one we will remember for a long time. Those spur of the moment ideas become priceless memories.

Panguitch fishing competition 2016

One of the favorite TRADITIONS we have is the annual Fishing Competition at Panguitch Lake each year. Loretta has been kind enough to let us use her cabin for the event. This year we had Loretta dn Dennis, David and Chris, Ken and Debbie, and Marium and Joel. We spend one or  two nights at the cabin competing in fishing. We spend time fixing dinners. We spend time playing cards, napping and of course just relaxing at this most beautiful part of the world. Because Panguitch Lake is such a deep part of the Worthen family, so many years of family reunions with the Worthen family, Mariums' mothers' family, the love for this part of Utah along with Panguitch lake run deep. This is a video of this year, 2016. Enjo

Grandparents Campout 2006

Family traditions, such as the Grandparents Campout, illustrate how quickly families grow up. These photos are priceless to us as grandparents, seeing the children as they were 10 years ago, same camp site, same rock, same hike. Love these kids.

Grandparents Campout 2016

Everyone  on the rock!
Our favorite hike
Heber's first year, can't believe he is here
Grandparents campout , June 3rd and 4th, 2016 was a resounding success. After some  difficulty and concern about getting the campsites of tradition the heavens opened an avenue so we could procure the same spot as the previous 14 years.

14 of the grandchildren attended this year. The weather was perfect, no rain, wind at night to cool us down. The river was perfect, cool, slow moving and just the right amount of water.

The traditional photo on our favorite hike.

River was cool and perfect
